It is offically a week that we have been living in Spain and experiencing Spanish school.
It is not that different from the schools in Czechia, but still, there are some differences. Their school begins at eight thirty, which means we can sleep a little bit longer than in Czech Republic and ends at half pas two, so we are home around three a clock in the afternoon and we can finally eat some proper lunch, we are still getting used to eating lunch this late in the afternoon, but I think we are adjusting well. Their school system however is a little bit different than our Czech system. The school that we attend is a secondary school/high school. Their school is composary from the age of 6 to the age of 16, afterwards they can continue their education in bachillerato or vocational school. They study till the age of 18 and after that they can go to college. Here in Pola de Siero we attend the 4th year (which is the last year of composary education) and the second of bachillerato, because our host students attend this program.
After lunch and siesta it is up to our host student to decide what we are going to do.
We either go for a coffee, walk, do some sport or sometimes we take a trip somewhere.
¡Hasta mañana!
