The end of our journey

Well, this is it. The end.

We spent three weeks in Spain as exchange students. At first it was weird and unusual as everything was new to us. We experienced some very awkward moments, during which we learned to handle embarrassment with a smile and not lose sleep over it. But, as time went on, we started to get used to things and their daily routine became our own. People in school started taking us as regular students and families started taking us as members. Although we didn't spend even a month here we got accepted by others and treated as locals. For 22 days precisely we lived lives that are not ours and took a lot of experience of it. Even though our cultures are not completely different, there are many things we can learn from each other. We had tasted the most traditional asturian cuisine and we both admitted that it is fabulous. We are very lucky because the family which hosted us were always kind, helpful, understanding and introduced us to their daily life.

By this, we want to thank them and wish them all the best, they deserve it! And we can't forget a huge thanks to Celia and Simón, who took care of us in every situation and never seemed annoyed or tired. To make one final statement, we are both unbelievably grateful for this opportunity. And listen, if you ever have the chance to travel abroad for some international exchange,take it without hesitation!! You will make memories you will never forget.
