In between mountains and sea

The municipality Llanes is a place where you don't have to choose if you want to go to mountains or visit sea, here you can do both in one day, from the city Llanes it is about 40 kilometers to Picos de Europa.

Llanes is a beatuiful old coastal city with its history dating back to the 13th century. You can visit the Towers of Llanes or Basílica dedicated to Virgin Mary. Llanes is a traditional fishing town, so when you go near the sea you will see a lot of people fishing. You can take a walk along the coast or you can go for a swim, there are many small sandy beaches where even in October you can see people sunbathing and swimming.
