The capital of Costa Verde

Gijón is the largest city by population in Asturias and it is also the "capital" of Costa Verde, which is the Asturian's coast.

Many tourists visit this city every year because of its sea, beaches, views and also because of its bars. Annually Gijón receives more than a milion and half tourists, which makes it one of the most visited places in whole Asturias.

When you come to Gijón, you can take a walk along the coast, where you will have some pretty amazing views. In the 20th century Gijón developed as an industrial city, so you will also see a big port. Nowdays Gijón is undergoing transition into a tourist and university centre.

Gijón is for sure worth a visit.
